Notice is hereby given that the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
will be held on Friday 20th August 2021 at 8pm on Zoom

3.Matters arising.
4.Nominees’ Presentations and electronic voting
5.Trustees Report
6.Treasurer’s report and national accounts (These are posted on the website in the Members Codex)

1.Members may nominate persons, who must be members of the Society, for the Honorary Officer positions of Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer and to do so they must send nomination(s) to the Acting Secretary by email  (claireredfern@sky.com) or in writing (21, Moat Way, Goring by Sea, West Sussex, BN12 4DR ) including the names of the proposer and a seconder (both of whom must be members of the Society) together with a statement signed by the nominee of willingness to serve in a particular position ( with a photo of the nominee and a brief supporting statement by the nominee) to reach the Acting Secretary (claireredfern@sky.com) no later than Friday 6th August 2021.  Nominations forms are Linked below.

A list of nominees will be sent out after the closing date with voting forms for those who are not attending the AGM.  Attendees will cast their votes at the AGM.

If a member is unable to attend the AGM but wishes to register a vote in respect of any items of business for which a vote is to be taken, he/she may return the voting form to the Acting Secretary (claireredfern@sky.com)  either by email or by post. 

3.Members may raise other matters at Annual General Meetings by submitting details of the matter, including a suggested description for the agenda, to reach the Secretary (nat.secretary@societyofbookbinders.com) no later than 30th July 2021.

6.Reports from the Regions should be posted on the website.  Hard copies will be available for those who wish to have them and can be obtained from the Acting Secretary.             

7.Hard copies of the Treasurer’s Report and Annual Accounts can be obtained from the Acting Secretary.

Society of Bookbinders 2020 AGM Minutes
By an e-bulletin dated 21 July, members of the Society were given notice that the 2020 AGM would, as a consequence of Covid-19 restrictions, be held electronically on 14 August 2020.

Members were invited to vote on two resolutions to approve the minutes of the 2019 AGM and election of Hon. Officers. The following votes were submitted by email to the Secretary on or before 14 August:

The minutes were therefore approved.
